The 24-year-old back (25 when the 2016 season starts) still has a lot to offer, so it’s not much of a surprise that Miami wants to keep him. Many felt he was under-utilized last season, considering he had seven games with 10 or fewer carries. He was productive when he got a chance, which makes him an attractive option for teams needed a running back. The problem is, not many teams are in dire need at the position.

Last month, Fox Sports’ Peter Schrager estimated that Miller could see $7 million a year or more, so the market has already spoken if the talks are centered around the $5 million mark.
