Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies continued to fall Tuesday following critical comments by former President Donald Trump. “Bitcoin, it just seems like a scam,” Trump told Fox Business. “I don’t like it because it’s another currency competing against the dollar… I want the dollar to be the currency of the world. That’s what I’ve always said.” But one analyst said Trump’s comment makes no sense. “In true Trump style, his words are contradictory, claiming that Bitcoin is both a ‘scam’ and yet it competes with the dollar,” Jason Deane, Bitcoin analyst at Quantum Economics, in London, told Newsweek....

The former president took aim at the anchor and other media outlets for reporting the low number of voter irregularities that will be further investigated, which counter his claims of widespread fraud. In a post uploaded onto Telegram, Trump said: “Fox News and other media outlets incorrectly side with the outdated and terrible Maricopa County Election Board to report no fraud found in the Presidential Election. “They spew the gross misinformation purposefully put out by the country and the Associated Press and ignore the very important Arizona Senate’s hearing yesterday, which showed 168,000 fraudulent ballots printed on illegal paper (unofficial ballots), 74,000 mail-in ballots received that were never mailed (magically appearing ballots), 11,000 voters were added to the voter rolls after the election and still voted, all the access logs to the machines were wiped, and the election server was hacked during the election....

The latest survey by Republican public affairs firm Firehouse Strategies and Optimus puts the commander-in-chief ahead of his would-be Democratic challengers by significant margins with likely voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. All three states voted marginally in favour of Trump over his rival and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, with Michigan electing him by a margin of just 0.3 percentage points. Firehouse Strategies’ latest quarterly polling of the battleground states shows that history could repeat itself in 2020, with Trump beating leading Democratic primary candidate Joe Biden by five points among likely voters in the state....

In a Tuesday interview with Candace Owens on the Daily Wire, the ex-president repeatedly criticized the U.S. media for allegedly covering his administration and family unfairly during his four years in office. Trump also touted his administration’s ability to deliver the coronavirus vaccine and said the media failed to credit him for the effort. “You wouldn’t have a vaccine” if it weren’t for me, he said. “It wouldn’t have been here for three to five years, it probably wouldn’t have happened at all....

The big difference is he’s no longer in power. Thanks to Trump, Democrats now hold the presidency and majorities in both houses of Congress. That the authoritarian clown show no longer threatens America makes it considerably more entertaining. The speech was predictably heavy on attacks against the man who beat him. “Joe Biden has had the most disastrous first month of any president in modern history,” Trump said. Biden, whose approval rating is 56 percent, as opposed to Trump’s 34 percent, is ignoring him....

In July, the former president appeared on the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show, with the interview still available to watch on Facebook and on the podcast’s website. However, the interview has been pulled from YouTube, with a message on the site stating that the video had violated its community guidelines. In a series of tweets, Travis said YouTube took down the video for “misinformation” without giving further details....

Trump Jr. appeared beside his father at the packed event in Manchester, New Hampshire last night as the 45th U.S. president boasted about his Senate impeachment trial acquittal in front of supporters holding up signs that read “Promises Kept.” The commander-in-chief also used the New Hampshire rally as an opportunity to mock the Democratic Party and its leadership, telling supporters that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was “mumbling” behind him as he delivered his State of the Union address last week....

A survey released by NBC News found that Trump currently has a 54 percent negative approval rating, with a 34 percent positive approval. Trump had the same 54 percent negative approval rating in an August NBC News poll, but with a slightly higher positive approval of 36 percent. In comparison, Trump also had a 36 percent positive approval rating in May and March 2022, 37 percent in January 2022, and 38 percent in August and October 2021....

Facebook was right to suspend Trump’s accounts after he used them to incite an insurrection in Washington, D.C., in January, the quasi-independent panel, which can review the company’s bans, said in a ruling on Wednesday. “Given the seriousness of the violations and the ongoing risk of violence, Facebook was justified in suspending Mr. Trump’s accounts on January 6 and extending that suspension on January 7,” the board said. But the board also said that “it was not appropriate for Facebook to impose an ‘indefinite’ suspension....

Dr. Scott Green appeared for his Sacramento Superior Court trial on Thursday from an operating room, The Sacramento Bee reported. He was seen dressed surgical scrubs operating on a patient who was out of the camera’s shot, while beeps from machinery can be heard in the background. “Hello, Mr. Green? Hi. Are you available for trial?” a courtroom clerk on the call asked the surgeon. “It kind of looks like you’re in an operating room right now....

Washington state Attorney General Bob Ferguson on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against Seattle-based US Stemology and its owner, Dr. Tami Meraglia. The lawsuit alleges that Meraglia told patients that stem cell treatment could cure COVID-19, asthma, lupus, Parkinson’s, congestive heart failure and multiple sclerosis. According to a press release announcing the lawsuit, US Stemology charged a total of $748,250 from 107 patients for unproven stem cell treatments. “Dr. Meraglia and US Stemology advertised stem cells as a life-changing miracle cure that could treat almost anything — even COVID,” Ferguson said in a press release announcing the lawsuit....
